Good morning, ya'll.

It's Monday.  I am ready to head back to Hope Lodge.  I have 2 more radiation treatments.  Then Wed, labs at the chemo doc, Feb 3 I meet with the chemo doc and she will give me the new chemo schedule.  Last time it was one hour a week for 2 weeks on 1 week off.  I am hoping she will go with something a little more aggressive.  Like 3 weeks on and 1 week off. I'm ready to be done.  I have things I want to do!!

Like 90% of everyone else on here we are having rain and wind here.  It went on all night.  My back yard is like a swimming pool.  We need a better drainage system back there.

Our son says they have brought quite a few badly injured folks to the ship for treatment.  He is with the 24th MEU off Haiti.  Can't remember which ship they are flying on and off.  His squadron is the Ospreys.  So if you see a REALLY handsome Marine who knows exactly what he is doing, that'll be my baby boy!

Have a fantabulous day!

Another new week begins.   I am home today, as my 4-day schedule began again.  Nice for time, bad for budget!  I took Michael to dialysis this morning and will pick him up later.  Then I am going to lunch with a friend, which will be fun.

Michael sold several custom wedding rings last week, so that will help with the budget.  He is feeling good enough to work, which is a big relief.

Yesterday I got my hair cut and colored and then picked up Michael and we went shopping for new glasses for me.  I get them in two weeks and can't wait.  They were pricey and I felt bad spending all that on glasses, but then I thought I wear them every day and needed some that I really like.  I'm much more frugal than he is - he goes by what he likes and quality.  We balance each other pretty well.

I hope everyone has good days today!

Hi OFF family,
The weekend went by way tooooooo fast, I did watch football with hubby.

Went to the Discovery Shop Saturday, it's a upscale resale store and proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. I bought a fur cape for 32.00 and a dress with original tags on it for 9.00. The fur cape I going to let my stepdaughter wear it for her wedding up in Whitehall on Feb. 12th. She will look like a Princess!! This is the SD that lives with us so she will be moving out in March if not before. I'll have my house back!! YIPPEEE!!
I love having her and the grandchildren but it's time for her to make her new life with her new hubby.

I'm going to Mike's funeral today, he is a post op revision RNY. We don't know why he died yet, it will take time for the post to come back. Please keep Mike and his family in your prayers and good thoughts....especially Lacey his daughter who is a fresh post op from 1/12/10.

Hi Mary and my OFF family:

It's gloomy and gray here in West Michigan too, and maybe some snow today too ... yuck. But I don't have to work. I do have an appointment at my psycholgist today, but otherwise nothing much going on.

Talked with my brother yesterday and we are scrapping the trip to New Orleans because he couldn't find a timeshare resort there that was open. His timeshare never has anything open where he wants to go. So then he started looking other places and decided it was either Williamsburg or Las Vegas ... Las Vegas would be too expensive because he would have to fly and Williamsburg he could drive. I told him I'd go with him to Williamsburg, so we are planning a road trip. I don't really have that much money, but if I budget properly and don't buy a lot of crap, I could afford it. Lodging would be free, gas isn't really expensive and we could limit our eating out to one meal a day (and since Gary is now doing Atkins and trying to lose weight, I told him a lot of meals we could share because he could limit his meal portion size). I went to Williamsburg a few years ago when I was 350 pounds but was only there for two days and was miserable ... it was 85 degrees and I sweated and limped around there ... this time I'd be smart and get a scooter (if they have them) or at least bring my cane. And they didn't have a lot of the people dressed in costume, so I was disappointed. So I hope this time will be better.

Anyway, that was my interesting news. I'm going to go to the chiropractor this morning too because my back is killing me already. Pain down my left leg into my toes. I thought about going to see a movie, but I'm a little strapped for cash today so I'll wait until I'm off Thursday when I get paid and then see a movie.

The football games were interesting ... sorry Connie that your Vikings lost and sorry George and Laureen about the Jets.

Well, that's all from here. Have a good day.

Good Morning everyone,

I am super excited that the Saints are finally going to the Super Bowl.  Yesterday was not as pretty a game as last week's but a win is a win.  I would love to see them beat the Colts but I am just glad they are in the game.  Peyton Manning will be playing against his Dad's team.  That family must have a lot of memories of New Orleans.

Nothing exciting happening in my world.  Chorale starts the spring season tonight so I'll find out what we are singing this go round.  Still spinning with this vertigo...almost seems like a normal state.  won't know what to do if it stops.  Will be like getting off a boat thats been on rough seas and trying to walk on land.

Well I hope everyone has a pleasant day.   Enjoy.................

Good morning Mary and everyone....

First of all I am totally bummed about the VIKINGS....they did not play like they should have...too many fumbles....oh well...next year!

Jamie, Nic and Grace didn't leave this AM because the weather is bad and the schools are closed. No travel recommended unless an emergency. They are at my sister in laws....wish they would have stayed here last night. I will go over there later if I can.....I am working this AM.

Hope everyone has a nice day. Prayers to all in need.

Love and hugs to all....connie d
